This is honestly the best honey we’ve tasted in years, produced by a rare native British black bee species in hives surrounding nearby Marsden Moor. (Just 10 miles from our farm.)

This is Raw honey is in its original unprocessed form.

Raw honey and pure honey are terms often used but they differ slightly. They are both taken directly from the hive but pure honey is gently filtered whereas raw honey isn't, raw honey filtered by gravity to remove things that don’t belong in the honey, but still contain all of the pollen.

This extracted Raw honey has not been heated at all (for treating crystallisation and storage under 23 degrees C.)

The benefit of not heating honey is that the naturally-occurring enzymes, vitamins and minerals are preserved and you get the full benefits of them from eating raw honey.

They also produces Honey comb, which is the best shape of raw honey, but should be produced by natural BeeWax built by bees in the hive, not used as traded BeeWax foundation, just so you're aware about the purity of the BeeWax in the honeycomb product.

Dr Ryad Alsous heads up Huddersfield Raw Honey and is from Syria originally and was responsible for vital bee research and restoration projects with “at-risk” native bee species, based at Damascus University.
Since relocating to Huddersfield, Ryad has been doing some amazing and vital work facilitating skill-set transfers and building social interactions with other refugees through his love and knowledge of his wonderful bees at “The Buzz Project.”
